Abstract

459,623. Filters. PEEBLES, J., Waterworks Cottage, Dalrymple, and GLENFIELD & KENNEDY, Ltd., Kilmarnock, both in Ayrshire, Feb. 29, 1936, No. 6163. [Class 46] A rotary drum filter is provided with an end wall 2 of truncated conical shape which projects into the interior of the drum to prevent solid material from banking up against the end wall. The latter is made of plates which are attached to spokes 7 radiating from a hub 5 secured to the shaft 3. A second hub 4 carries straight spokes 6. The screen 1 is provided with plates 8 which collect and carry up the solids within the screen for deposition into a hopper connected to an outlet.
