Abstract

217,264. Lilleshall Co., Ltd., and Bishop, C. A. Oct. 20, 1923. Strainer separators comprise inner and outer rotors driven from a shaft 5 through gearing 3, 4 and 12, 13 so that they rotate relatively. The inner rotor 2 is cylindrical and is provided with channels leading to openings 8 in its wall and from which material passing from the inlet 10 is delivered on to a filter cloth 22 supported on the downwardly-coned surface of the outer rotor 14. A scraper 18 spirally arranged removes the solids. The outer rotor has an overhanging flange 15.
