Abstract

643,295. Treating mould materials. FOUNDRY MECHANISATIONS (BAILLOT), Ltd. (Baillot, A. J.). April 5, 1948, No. 9525. [Class 83 (i)] [Also in Group II] A combined premixer and sand mill comprises a sand mill 1 the drive shaft 2 of which has secured thereto a mixing tray 3 having a single outlet 8 therefrom leading to a mill feed shoot 13, and a number of series of baffle plates 10, each series being angularly adjustable in a member 9 supported above the tray 3, to which sand and like material is fed through a hopper 11. The outer edge of the tray 3 is sealed except at the outlet 8 by means of a ring 4 to the bottom edge of which is adjustably secured a flexible apron 7 which makes contact with the tray 3. A number of scrapers 12 are mounted from the ring 4. Specification 643,067 is referred to.
