829,610. Fertilizer distributers. STOKLAND, S. March 28, 1958 [March 28, 1957], No. 9983/58. Class 6(1). A distributer for fertilizer and other granular material comprises a hopper 6, a mouth member 9 mounted below the hopper and provided with an adjustable opening 12 and a rotatable cup 11 mounted below the mouth member 9. Material from the hopper falls into the cup 11 where it is carried by centrifugal force out of the opening 12 to a distributer comprising a rotatable annular member 25 and a baffle 26 provided with vanes 30. The position of the mouth member 9 is adjusted about a vertical axis by a lever 21 and the size of the opening 12 is adjusted by a lever 19 which adjusts a slide 13. The distributer and cup 11 are mounted on a hollow shaft driven from a tractor by means of a shaft 35 and bevel gearing 33, 34. The shaft 35 also drives a shaft 36 by gearing 43 and the shaft 36 carries a stirrer 39. A stirrer 47 is carried by the cup 11. Fan vanes 45 are arranged in the baffle 26 to create an outwardly directed air flow and cooperate with a stationary baffle 46 provided with air inlets 46<SP>1</SP>. The machine is arranged to be connected to a tractor three point hitch linkage.
