771,495. Fertilizer distributers. INNES WALKER (ENGINEERING) CO. Ltd., and STIRLING, R. T. Aug. 22, 1955 [Aug. 25. 1954], No. 24699/64. Class 6(1). In a fertilizer distributer adapted to be mounted on a tractor and comprising a spinner 6 mounted on a vertical shaft 5 which extends into a hopper 3 and carries agitating means to enable material to flow through a discharge outlet in the bottom of the hopper the agitating means comprises bracket members 9, 10, 11, 12 secured at one or more points above the discharge outlet, an arm 12 being pivotally secured to each bracket, the arrangement being that the arms will move outwards by centrifugal action to cut into and break down the mass of material in the hopper. As shown the upper arm has a further arm 13 pivotally attached to the end thereof. A disc 14 is located immediately over the top of each bracket. The shaft 5 is provided with a belt pulley 7 for connection to the tractor power shaft. The shaft may be driven by means of a ground wheel.
