Abstract
858,413. Fertiliser distributers. MINETT, W. T. Sept. 22, 1958 [June 22, 1957], No. 19714/57. Class 6(1). A distributer for feriltisers or other granular materials comprises a hopper 1 having a longitudinal beam 4 mounted at the bottom thereof for vibratory or agitating movement whereby fertiliser or the like may be caused to discharge from an outlet at a lower part of the hopper. The beam 4 is vibrated by means of a roller 34 mounted on a shaft 36 driven from a tractor power shaft, the roller contacting a plate 33 in the beam 4. The vibrations are dampered by means of adjustable springs 60, 61. A pivoted control gate 5 is provided and is coupled together with the beam 4 to a handle 3 by means of a linkage 42 so that the beam 4 and gate 5 may be moved to close the outlet.
