Abstract

799.977. Fertilizer distributers. LEA (HOLMES CHAPEL), Ltd., W. E. Nov. 15. 1956, No. 32716/55. Addition to 733,935. Class 6(1). The mechanical spreader or distributer described in the parent Specification is modified by the addition of agitation blades 26, 27, 28 mounted above the agitators 18 and driven by gearing from a landwheel 19. As shown the blades 26, 27, 28 rotate in a plane parallel to the side of the hopper 11 and close to the agitation 18. The blades 27, 28, 29 are arranged to pass close to the inner sides of the agitators 18. The blades 28 are arranged to pass close to the sides 33 of an inverted V-shaped part of the hopper. The drive for the agitators may be taken from the opposite wheel (not shown).
