Abstract

742,941. Valve circuits. ELECTRIC & MUSICAL INDUSTRIES, Ltd. Feb. 25, 1954 [Feb. 28, 1953], No. 5684/53. Class 40 (6). A secondary emission valve is stabilized by connecting a feed-back resistor 8 to its cathode circuit and furthermore by connecting the secondary emission electrode to a tap on a potentiometer 10, 11 connected between H.T. supply and the cathode. The resistor 11 is of non- linear type, the-resistance decreasing rapidly with current increase : this permits the resistor 10, required for initiating operation of the valve, to be of relatively high value.
