Abstract

742,893. Knitting-machines. TRICO-FIX SOC. ANON. May 4, 1953 [May 3, 1952], No. 12239/53. Class 74 (2). A hand-operated, flat, single bed machine has the cams defining the needle track jointly and simultaneously movable to thereby enable stitch variation to be achieved. The cam lock has the cams 6, 7 secured to a carrier 5 which is adjustably secured in position by a bolt 13. The screwed end of the bolt 13 is engaged by an operating knob 15 positioned between which and the top of the lock is a lever 17. By unscrewing the knob 15 and adjusting the lever 17, the bolt and thereby the cams are adjustably positioned being clamped in any desired position by tightening the knob 15. A member 10 is provided for engaging the fabric beneath the needles to clear the latches prior to the needles taking a new course.
