Abstract
742,149. Junction boxes; mechanical couplings for cable sheathing. HAWKE, W. July 15, 1954 [July 21, 1953], No. 20157/53. Class 38 (1). A cable gland A, or sealing box (Fig. 2, not shown), is coupled to a casing C<SP>2</SP> by means of tube F coupled to the gland spigot a<SP>1</SP> by an adaptor K. The tube has a head f<SP>1</SP> at its inner end to retain a bush B rotatably thereon, said bush being adapted to screw into a hole C<SP>1</SP> in the casing. The assembled gland and tube may thus be attached to the casing by means of bush B without rotation. Lock nuts E, I, J are provided. Specifications 666,004, 686,299 and 723,165 are referred to.
