736,592. Sewing-machines. DARGOLS, B. May 2, 1952 [April 16, 1952], No. 11217/52. Class 112. A blind-stitch machine with an arcuate needle 18 carried by an arm on a rockshaft 2 is provided with a ruffling-blade 17 actuated by a member on the shaft 2. In the form shown the shaft 2 carries an arm 3 with a notch to receive a nose on a spring-biased lever 5 pivotally mounted at 6, and a bar 9 carrying the blade 17 is adjustably fixed to the lever 5 by screws and slots 13. In a modification, the lever 5 is actuated by a cam on the shaft 2. The blade may be adjustable on the bar 9 in a substantially horizontal direction, and its edge may be toothed.
