825,663. Knitting-machines. ENGLISH ROSE Ltd. Dec. 10, 1957 [Jan. 10, 1957], No. 950/57. Class 74 (2). The verge plate or fall bar 24 of a straightbar machine is adjustably mounted on the sinker head 13 by two eccentric or cam devices 33a, 33b one at either side of a central pivot device 25 such that the eccentric devices move the verge plate only towards or away from the needles. The operative edge of the fall bar may be constituted by an inserted strip 45, for example of nylon.
