Abstract

736,499. Tape dispensers. GORDON & GOTCH, Ltd. March 25, 1953 [April 23, 1952], No. 10196/52. Class 18. An adhesive tape dispenser comprises a part 1, over which the tape is drawn, which has side wings 2 provided with inwardly directed lugs 3 for supporting the tape reel. The tape passes through a slot 4 in the part 1 which is provided with serrations 5 to form a cutting edge. After severing, the free end of the tape is retained by its adhesiveness on the surface 1 which is provided with recesses 6 to enable the end of the tape to be easily removed. The device may be used with reels of different diameter.
