Abstract

1330954 Tape dispensers HENKEL & CIE GmbH 19 Jan 1971 [22 Jan 1970] 2665/71 Heading A4G A manual tape dispenser has tape 4 passing from roll 1 over a ribbed roller 5 carrying a gear 11 and carried at one end of lever 9 pivoted on frame 3 and under roller 6, the tape then passing over a small roller 7 to be cut on knife 8. On pulling tape end 4a, roller 5 is depressed against compression spring 10 and gear 11 engages rack 12 to move it up to an adjustable stop 14 against spring 13. On cutting off the measured length of tape, spring 10 raises roller 5 on lever 9 which retracts the tape a small amount which then rotates roller 7 to which the tape adheres so that the free end portion 4a between roller 7 and knife 8 is orientated upwardly for grasping and pulling off the next measured length. On rising, the gear 5 releases the rack which is returned by spring 13.
