586,204. Roll holders. ADHESIVE TAPES, Ltd., and KININMONTH, C. P. Aug. 8, 1944, No. 15062. [Class 18] . A device for dispensing, affixing and severing a length of adhesive strip from a supply carried within the device, has a roller f, for applying the strip projecting from the front of the device, a fixed cutting blade g immediately behind it, and a bar h manually movable to press the strip on to the cutter. The end of the roll d of adhesive strip, mounted on a roller or boss c, passes over a guide or roller e and then over and partly round roller f. The device is pushed over the base, the roller f withdrawing and affixing the strip, until within a short distance of the point at which the strip is to end. The pivotally mounted bar h is then, by means of a thumbpiece h', swung towards the cutter g. The severed end of the strip within the device will adhere to the bar h, from which it will be detached by hand when desired, and again passed round the roller f. The cutter may be serrated.
