Abstract

The adhesive tape dispenser has a casing (1) in which the reel of tape (3) can rotate. To use the device the free end of the tape is pulled outwards, freeing it from the end of a flexible arm (9) attached at one end to the casing. When the tape is pulled downwards to be cut off on the cutting edge (4), the flexible arm is, pulled against a stop (15). After the piece of tape has been removed, the flexible arm pulls the end off the cutting edge, leaving it free for easy subsequent use. A variation has the flexible piece and the cutting edge made from one separate part.
