Abstract

533,505. Applying adhesive strip. DUREX ABRASIVES, Ltd., and FEW, E. J. L. July 6, 1939, No. 19716. [Class 73] A device for-applying adhesive strip comprises a roller and means for severing the strip and holding the end ready for the next operation, which means are on the side of the roller remote from a strip supply. As shown, a reel 3 of the material is held on a frame 1, furnished with a handle 14 and with a roller 6, which may be resilient, and in front of which is a severing device 8 in the form of a serrated blade, a pointed projection 9 serving to hold the end of the strip. The device is fitted with an adjustable guide 11. In a modification a freely rotatable guide roller is mounted on an extension of the frame.
