Abstract

728,128. Dispensers for adhesive tape. HALL, D. M. Sept. 22, 1952 [Sept. 20, 1951], No. 22074/51. Class 73. In a hand dispenser for adhesive tape, the tape is guided by rollers 6, 7, Fig. 1 from a roller 1 and through a slot 11a Fig. 4 in an end piece of a detachable frame 8 which is formed with a serrated edge 11b by which the tape is torn off, a wetting device for the tape being provided either in the form of a roller dipping into a reservoir or, as shown, by a container 3 having a nozzle 9 stopped by a sponge pad 10 against which the tape is pressed by the spring- loaded roller 7. A thumb operated brake 5 is provided on the handle 4 for clamping the roller 1 when the tape is required to be torn.
