Abstract
734,693. Capacitor; mounting terminals. BRENNAN, J. B. Sept. 30,1952, No. 24437/52. Classes 37 and 38 (1). An open-ended can containing an electrolytic or other capacitor is sealed by a resilient part compressed to press radially against a resilient sleeve between the part and the can. In Fig. 1, the condenser roll 3 is sealed in a metal can 1 by means of a resilient disc 8 of rubber or like material pressed between two hard plastic discs 7 and 9, the edge 13 of the can being spun over to maintain this pressure. Between discs 7, 8 and 9 and the inner surface of the can is a rubber-like sleeve 11. A terminal strip 6, which may serve as the cathode of an electrolytic condenser is clamped between the resilient portions 8 and 11, and bent back to connect to a cathode ring 12 having terminals 14.
