731,544. Separating dust from gases. NATIONAL RESEARCH DEVELOPMENT CORPORATION. Aug. 24, 1953 [Aug. 29, 1952], No. 21827/52. Class 8 (2). An air cleaning apparatus comprises a zigzagged web 5 of impervious dust collecting material e.g., moleskin folded over rods 4 extending across the interior of a trunk 1 and spaced therefrom, and baffle plates 6 extending from the trunk walls into the folds whereby the air is constrained to flow along the surface of the material. The baffles 6 and the interior walls of the trunk 1 are lined with said material.
