Abstract

337,643. Gasner, P., and Gasner, SDec. 1, 1928, [Convention date]. Filters.- A dustcollecting arrangement for attaching to vacuum cleaners comprises a hose 1, with an outer fabric covering 2 and an internal lining 3, attached to the outlet of the cleaner. The lining 3 is air-tight as far as a point A and then is made relatively porous. A collecting receptacle B made of porous or impermeable material, is attached to a coupling 7. The current of dust laden air changes direction on its way to the dust collecting bag and some of the air escapes through the porous lining and the dust is deposited in the bag. The coupling 7 may also allow an escape of air.
