740,842. Filtering gases. DIEBOLD & CO. SOC. ANON. June 16, 1953 [June 20, 1952], No. 16552/53. Class 8(2). A plurality of inward flow gas filter sleeves 1 are cleaned periodically either singly or in groups 1a by a a reverse flow of gas generated by a fan 12 located in a box 9 moved e.g. by a belt 13 over a plate 2 from which the sleeves 1 are suspended. Cleaned gas from a chamber 4 may be utilized. The movement of the box 9 over the plate 2 during a cleaning period may be continuous or intermittent and it may be rotational.
