Abstract

726,275. Spring catches. BOSCH GES., R. June 23, 1953 [June 28, 1952], No. 17324/53. Class 44. [Also in Group XXIII] Relates to a spring catch for securing a windscreen wiper arm to a wiper blade support (see Group XXIII). The wiper blade support bracket 6 has rotatably mounted in its side walls a pin 7 to which is secured a bush 8. The closed end 9 of a spring stirrup, having arms 10,11, firmly encloses the bush 8. A nose-like projection 15 pressed-out of the stirrup arm 11 is snapped into a hole 16 in the bent end 14 of the wiper arm 12, after the bent end is engaged with the stirrup 9, 10, 11 to move its arms 10, 11 together. The extended end of the arm 11 serves as a finger piece to facilitate release of the wiper arm from wiper blade support bracket 6.
