893,229. Windscreen wipers. SWF-SPEZIALFABRIK FUER AUTOZUBEHOER G. RAU G.m.b.H. Jan. 27, 1961 [Jan. 28, 1960], No. 3184/61. Class 138 (1). A windshield wiper blade unit adapted to be removably secured to the hooked end 4 of a resilient wiper arm 3 comprises a U-shaped lever 5, pivotally connected to a yoke 7 by a hollow rivet 6 passing through the solid end portion 13 of the lever 5. The lever 5 is movable from a position, Fig.. 4, in which it is within the contours of the yoke 7 to an open position, Fig 3. In the open position a pivot pin 17 connecting the two side walls of the lever is easily inserted into the hooked arm 4, and in the closed position the arm is locked by the engagement of the end 18 of the portion 13 with the pivot pin 17; inward movement of the lever beyond the closed position is prevented by abutments 16 and projection 20 thereon engaging with the inside and outside, respectively, of the yoke 7 as shown.
