Abstract

872,862. Windscreen wipers. SWF-SPEZIALFABRIK FUER AUTOZUBEHOER G. RAU G.m.b.H. April 20, 1960 [April 24, 1959], No. 13760/60. Class 138(1). The hooked end 4 of a windscreen wiper arm 1 is locked in engagement with a pivot pin 5 and a blade carrier member 6 of inverted U-channel section, by a locking member 15 of resilient material, e.g. plastic, secured to the member 6 and having a head 20 adapted to engage the end 4. The head 20 normally closes the aperture in the member 6 through which the hook 4 is inserted, and may be pressed to bend the member 15 to facilitate detachment of the arm 1 from the member 6 as illustrated in Fig. 5.
