726,247. Acoustic resistors. PHILIPS ELECTRICAL INDUSTRIES, Ltd. March 31, 1953 [April 3, 1952], No. 8900/53. Class 40 (8). An acoustic resistor comprises a spirally wound tape 3 having a wire or second tape 4 wound on it with spaced turns. A further tape 2 may be interposed between the turns of the tape 3. The resistor 10, Fig. 3, may be supported between a core 1 and a polepiece 9 of an electrodynamic microphone whose diaphragm 6 lies in front of the resistor.
