In a moving-coil loud-speaker or microphone the ordinary wires of the coil are used as lead wires c, leave the coil tangentially, and pursue an arcuate path to terminals d on the frame of the instrument without connection to the diaphragm. The leads may be coated with a soft material to damp resonances.
