Abstract
1,206,917. Moving armature transducers. RION K.K. 22 May, 1969, No. 26104/69. Heading H4J. In an electro-acoustic transducer having an armature 42 supported as a cantilever with its free end portion 54 located in an air gap, a screw 50 of magnetic material is disposed on one side of the air gap with an end face facing the air gap. The screw 50 is adjustable to vary the position of magnetic balance of the cantilever. A second adjustable screw 60 may be provided on the other side of the air gap. In another arrangement a U-shaped armature 142 has a free end portion 154 disposed within an air gap 130, an adjusting screw 150 (or two opposite adjusting screws) for the air gap 130 being provided. A connecting rod 158 extends from the armature 142 through an acoustic screen 160 to a diaphragm 162. A housing 164 is mechanically and acoustically connected to an acoustic conduit 166. Acoustic pipes 168 and a terminal block 170 for the winding 156 are provided. The transducers may be transmitters or receivers for use in hearing aids.
