Abstract
793,261. Telephone instruments. RESLO-, SOUND, Ltd, Sept. 13, 1956 [June 13, 1955], No. 16926/55. Class 40 (4). In a transducer of the moving-ribbon type, at least one end of the ribbon is held between a relatively rough (or adherent) surface and a relatively smooth (or non-adherent) surface. As shown, the smooth surface forms a channel 11 in a rectangular frame 8 of insulating material, while the rough surface is on a metal contact member 13. The ribbon 12 and contact member 13 both fit in the channel 11 and adhere together so that the position of the ribbon may be adjusted by means of the member 13, the whole assembly then being clamped together by screwing a plate 14 to the frame 8.
