Abstract

723,348. Building panels; walls. LINTOTT, J. April 15, 1953 [April 22, 1952], No. 10136/52. Classes 20 (4) and 87 (1). A storey-height wall panel comprising a wooden frame A covered with sheets of insulation board 20 and asbestos 21 is reinforced along its vertical edges by metal strips 11 of L- or U-section which are provided with hooks 16 and V-shaped slots 17 respectively. The strip 11 carrying the hooks is provided with a flange 11<SP>1</SP> to co-operate with a slot 14 in an adjacent panel frame. The upper end of the panel is reinforced by a metal channel member 22 which carries bolts 33 for the attachment of an eave panel 34. The panels are supported by a metal channel member 24 bolted to a concrete foundation C and secured to the panels by screws 27. The panel is provided with a weather strip 40 and may include a sheet 28 of glass wool.
