786,415. Building units. TURNERS ASBESTOS CEMENT CO., Ltd. Aug. 23, 1956 [Aug. 26, 1955], No. 25803/56. Classes 20(2) and 87(1) A building unit made of sheet metal or asbestos cement comprises a flat part 6 and a corrugated part 5 consisting of two or more troughs 7, 8, the trough 7 being united to the flat part 6 by a flange 10 lying below the level of the flat part by a distance equal to the thickness of the material, and the trough 8 being provided along its free edge with a flange 14 lying below the flat part by a distance equal to twice the thickness of the material. The units are assembled with the free edge of the flat part 6 and the flange 10 of one unit overlapping the flanges 10, 14 respectively of an adjacent unit. The assembly results in cavity roof, wall, &c. having one flat and one corrugated surface. Specification 620,012 is referred to.
