829,253. Coverings for walls etc.; metal building sheets. FISCHER, J. Dec. 17, 1957 [Jan. 28, 1957], No. 39163/57. Classes 20(2) and 20(4) In a wall or ceiling covering comprising elongated, channel-shaped panels 3 having at one longitudinal edge an inwardly-directed flange 5 and at the opposite edge an outwardly-directed flange 4, the panels being mounted side-by-side with the concave faces thereof directed towards the wall or ceiling surface and the flanges 4, 5 of adjacent panels being arranged in overlapping relation and secured in such positions to rails 1 by lugs 2, the flange 4 is substantially flat, and the flange 5 in a direction towards the free edge thereof diverges from the overlapping flange 4. As shown, the flange 5 is arcuate in section and the perforated, aluminium panels are secured by lugs 2 formed integrally with the rails 1 having a U-shaped cross-section, the lugs being complementary in shape to the arcuate-shaped flange 5. The panels may be filled with sound-deadening material.
