Abstract

741,791. Skylights. WILLIAMS & WATSON Ltd. Nov. 1, 1954 [Dec. 10, 1953], No. 34345/53. Class 20(3). A skylight for erection upon a roof comprises a side wall or walls 3, 4, adapted to be erected upon the roof and having therein a translucent panel or panels 5, 6, and a dome 1 of translucent material in the form of a single sheet mounted upon the side wall or walls. As shown the sides 3, 4, form a rectangle, the side 3 having a fixed panel 6 and a movable one, the latter being mounted in a frame 7 to pivot about bearings 8, whilst the side 4 has a fixed panel 5. The rectangular glass dome 1 is supported by brackets 2 mounted adjacent the upper edges of sides 3, 4. The skylight may be of circular, elliptical or polygonal construction.
