721,250. Domestic fireplaces. RADIATION, Ltd. Aug. 14, 1953 [Sept. 11, 1952], No. 22803/52. Class 126 A flue fitting for use in the chimney breast recess which accommodates a domestic fireplace and adapted to form part of the entrance to the chimney c from the recess, comprises a horizontal metal bar a, secured.to the brickwork across the top b of the recess, and a metal flap e pivotally suspended by hooks d on the bar a. The flap e is retained in the position shown in Fig. 1 by the engagement of lugs h on its side edges against the front of the recess; to enable the flap to be secured at the most suitable angle, a series of lugs h is provided on each edge, these lugs being so made that those not required can be readily broken off. The flap is subsequently concealed by the usual tiled surround i.
