[Class 126] The back 1 of an open fire place has the top portion 2 extended forwardly substantially to the front of the fireplace and provided with a downwardly projecting lip 3 adjacent an opening 4 leading to the chimney flue. Between the top of the back and its lower end a projecting portion 6 is provided on the back. The back may be concave or convex and its surface may be regular or irregular.
