Class 126 A blower or drawplate consists of lower and upper parts a, d hinged together, the former having brackets b for engagement with the fret or front member of the grate while the latter is adapted to engage within the chimney behind the upper part of the fireplace surround and is outwardly biased relative to the lower part by means of a spring f connected between brackets e, g. The upper edge of the part d is formed with an upwardly and outwardly directed flange d<SP>3</SP>. The outward biasing of the part d may be effected by a weight instead of the spring f.
