Abstract

716,115. Dispensing liquids. SOC. ANON. DES HUILES RENAULT. Dec. 20, 1950 [Feb. 9, 1950], No. 30991/50. Class 116 [Also in Groups XXVIII and XXIX] Apparatus for dispensing liquids comprises a storage vessel 4 supported by a housing 3 mounted on a column 2 attached to a pedestal 1. The liquid flows by gravity from the vessel 4 through a pipe 8 and flexible pipe 18 to a measuring pump (see Group XXVIII) which is attached to the housing by inserting the spout 13 in a socket 11 and resting lever 40 of the pump on lever 22, a projection 56 passing through an opening in the lever 40 and a hole 57 being provided for a padlock. The lever 22 has a cam surface 79 engaging the stem 19 of a spring- loaded valve 77 in connection with the pipe 18 so that by raising the lever 22, the valve is opened. The flexible pipe 18 is supported by a counterweight sliding in the column 2 and connected by a cable to the eyelet 81. The cover 67 is connected to the vessel 4 by pivoted arms engaging the inside of the vessel and arranged to be locked by a padlock in the position of engagement; a second cover 73 is provided.
