Direct air pressure apparatus, non-automatic; measuring devices, applications of.-Motor spirit or oil is raised by compressed air from a tank to a measuring chamber, the apparatus consisting of a construction comprising a pedestal, a casing containing a compressor supported by the pedestal, and on top of this a further casing containing the measuring chambers and associated parts. The pedestal 1 having a door 2' is surmounted by two chests 3, 4 an advertising lantern 5 topping the whole. The air compressor 8 in the chest 3 may be operated by hand or by a motor 11 to charge a compressed air reservoir. Two transparent and graduated measuring chambers 13, 14 are provided and communicate at the top with supply pipes 12 leading to a meter 9 and then to the pipe 7. In use, the compressor 8 is operated-once daily-to place the air reservoir under pressure through the pipe 6. The top 20 is then opened and liquid is forced through the pipe 7, meter 9, and pipes 12 into the chambers 13, 14. When the chambers are full, the valves 19 are closed and the liquid may be drawn off through the flexible pipe 18 by opening the taps 19'. Automatic valves not shown allow access of air to and from the chambers. A filter 17 may be fitted to the discharge pipe. The whole device may be mounted on a trolly and the pressure produced directly in the liquid reservoir.
