338,700. Hutchin, S., and Blair, D. A. Oct. 28, 1929. Bottling.-An interceptor device for a bottling- machine comprises a cylindrical casing 1 divided into upper and lower compartments 4, 5. Liquid from the supply connections 2 collects in the space 4 and is drained into the space 5 by the opening of valve 7 operated subsequently to the valve 6 having opened to put spaces 4 and 5 into the same degree of co-aeration. Valves 6 and 7 are then closed and the liquid, now in space 5, is returned to the reservoir by the operation of the valve 8, the vacuum in space 5 having previously being broken by the admission of air through a separate conduit with an automatically operated valve. The vacuum main is connected at 3, and liquid is prevented from being drawn therethrough by a float-operated valve 10. Specification 273,857 is referred to.
