Abstract

266,883. Ames, R. Feb. 4, 1926. Mixing fluids in flow. -A float valve device for automatically governing the discharge of one liquid into another in proportion to the flow comprises three chambers 1, 2, 3 one above the other, the lower chamber 2 being open to the main conduit 5 and containing a float connected to a valve 10 seating in the partition between the upper and middle compartments. The middle compartment 3 has an outlet 13 discharging into the main conduit and the upper compartment has a waste pipe for discharging any excess of liquid supplied from the conduit 12. The main conduit may be widened or deepened adjacent the device to permit a full flow and if it is not deepened the sides of the chamber 2 are apertured to allow liquid to have easy access to the chamber.
