Abstract

300,341. Lloyd, H. J. Sept. 7, 1927. Mixing fluids in flow.-Apparatus for mixing a cleansing solution or other liquid with water in flow comprises a closed vessel for the liquid with a passage through its base leading to the throat of a Venturi tube through which the water passes, a second passage being provided between the mouth of the tube and the upper part of the vessel. The vessel 8, provided with a cap 9 having depending flanges 10 round a closed orifice to prevent over filling, is preferably formed in one with the Venturi-tube 7, to which the water pipes 3. 5 are screwed. The exit 13 from the vessel is controlled by a valve 14, and water is led to the top of the vessel through a valve-controlled passage 20 from the port 16. A piston may be provided in the vessel to separate the water from the solution.
