Abstract

323,242. Battersby, J. W. June 28, 1928. Dispensing liquids. - Apparatus for aerating and blending liquids, particularly for dispensing freshly aerated water flavoured with measured or regulated quantities of fruit juices, spirits &c., comprises a conduit h into which the liquid, such as water, is injected through a jet orifice m, drawing in air through apertures and impinging upon the inflowing flavouring agent supplied from a graduated receptacle p through a pipe o provided with a regulating valve s. The conduit h is screwed into a flanged tap union g, the conical jet nozzle l being gripped therebetween. The device may be attached to an ordinary domestic tap but is shown as a counter-fitting, the main water supply pipe c passing up an ornamental pillar a at the top of which it is bent horizontally and fitted with a cock e. The delivery outlet is throttled by a screw stud u or other adjustable means and is fitted with an antisplash device t.
