Abstract
188,788. Abraham, A. Aug. 18, 1921. Buoyancy motors.-A water motor comprises a float A, Fig. 1, the interior of which alternately communicates with two bodies of water of different heads through conduits a<2>, g controlled by an automatically operated valve U<1>, so that the float alternately rises and falls, the upper open end of the float being partially closed by a fixed member C. In a modification, the conduit a<2> communicates with two valve-controlled conduits leading to the bodies of water, which also communicate with the well containing the float through valved openings. In a further form, the float has a compartment B, Fig. 3, which in the position shown receives water from a body W<o> through a valve K<1>, and in the raised position delivers it to a body of water W<m>. The main body of the float has alternate communication through a pipe a and valves V', V<2> with the water W<o> and W<u> to cause its reciprocation. In another form, the compartment B is at the bottom of the float.
