Class 78(1) An endless belt conveyer is provided with a set of longitudinal rails 28, 29, Fig. 5, and a conveyer belt 37 having transverse stiffening members 38 attached atspaced intervals along it, the ends of the members 38, or wearing blocks 40 attached thereto, running on the rails. The rails may be provided with wearing surfaces 41, and are mounted in a framework formed of metal section tubes 20, 21, 22, 24, 27, Fig. 4, with angle-iron bracing members 25. Side closure plates 44 are provided which together with the upper surface of the upper run of the belt 37 form a conveying trough. The stiffening members 38 may be of angle iron section so as to form scraper flights. V-shaped scrapers may be provided at either or both ends of the conveyers to clear spillage from the upper surface of the lower run. The whole conveyer may be mounted on wheels.
