Abstract

1330042 Scraper conveyers GEC-ELLIOTT MECHANICAL HANDLING Ltd 1 May 1972 [14 May 1971] 15096/71 Heading B8A Scraper conveyer flights 2 have a triangular cross-section. They are welded to V-shaped notches in the side plates 3 of roller chains 1. Closable discharge openings 12 are provided at intervals along the conveyer. At each discharge station, a compressed air pipe 22 is provided having discharge jets 23 for dislodging material sticking to the flights. The upper return run of the conveyer (Fig. 3, not shown), is supported on rollers. There may be a single chain 1 (Figs. 1 and 4, not shown) instead of two as shown.
