Class 20 (4) A roof for a prefabricated building structure formed of building panels assembled on a modular system comprises panels 1 which are supported upon transverse beams 2 having inclined upper edges to correspond with the pitch of the roof, and longer panels 1a which overhang the end walls of the structure, the panels 1a at each end of the roof being supported on an end wall 6 by means of a gable end eaves panel 7. The eaves panels are formed of plywood facing sheets 8 which are secured to upper and lower spacer members 9, 10 set inwardly from the edges of the sheets 8 to provide channels 11, 12. The channel 12 receives the upper edge of the wall panel 6 and the channel 11 receives a tongue 13 secured to the underface of the roof panel 1a, the panels being screwed together. Each panel 1, 1a comprises a wooden frame, a pair of facing sheets, and a core of cementitious substance. The roof is finished by filling the space between panels above a beam 2 with grout 16, adding a fascia strip 15, and covering the roof with a suitable roofing material 17.
