Abstract

The tiled roof construction consists of roof tiles laid over cross laths (14A) of wood on a roof joist construction (10A) with an interlayer of ventilation foil (13A). Thermal insulation is provided by a filling of glass wool or similar material. Ridge members are attached to a robust rectangular section main timber (3). Roof edge tiles overlap a gutter section mounted on a beam bolted to the internal roof structure. The two halves of the roof are connected at the gable ends by V-form bracing elements fixed to the truss edges by side flanges.
