Abstract

1477140 Prefabricated roofs DOMINION FOUNDRIES & STEEL Ltd 4 Dec 1974 [5 Dec 1973] 56375/73 Heading E1W A prefabricated roof is formed using a truss 20 spanning between walls 10 and located thereon by means, e.g. pins 18, which also locate gable members, e.g. trusses 36, which are locked to the ends of the truss 20. Prefabricated framed roof sections 52 with a covering 55 of, e.g. plywood, are located on the trusses 36 by keyhole slots 60 engaging over studs 62, and shingles, e.g., are placed on top, the spaces between the sections 52 being filled in beforehand. A layer 14 of heat insulating material is laid on the walls, and shorter pins 34, and longer pins 18 extend up from the wall and engage in holes 44 in the truss 36, and also in holes 30 in plates 28 fixed to the ends of truss 20. Truss 36 is bolted to truss 20 via angle member 46 and bracket 48.
