Class 120(2) A roller for a spinning machine of the kind having triangular flutes alternating with lands is characterized in that the flutes are disposed helically at a pitch angle of 45 degrees and the distance between adjacent lands is between 0.5 and 1.5 mm. The sides of the flutes meet at an angle of 45 degrees. The fluting may consist of a 25 start thread.
