Abstract

770,463. Fibre feeding apparatus. T. M. M. (RESEARCH), Ltd. July 20, 1955 [July 20, 1954], No. 21130/54. Class 120 (1). A fluted textile fibre feed roller 14 is provided in its surface with a plurality of axial grooves 142 of substantially greater depth and width than the flutes 143. A helical groove 144 may be machined along the outer surfaces of the lands 141 between the flutes. As shown, the roller co-operates with the pedals 12 of the lattice feed of a fibre opening apparatus such as that described in Specification 735,173.
